Congratulations to the swimmers and the parent volunteers for a successful first swim meet today. While we only took 67 of our 112 athlete roster to the meet, we managed to win the meet: BGP 263 and SV 232. Way to go, kids! 

The BGP vs SV meet results will be posted on the website under Meet&Events. 

The exhibition swims and the DQ swims (with their times) are summarized in a Time Trial meet which will serve as a second meet.  The times for those DQ'd in the meet are also listed there so that those times can be used as seed times for the upcoming meets. 

The coaches will be working with the kids about technique and cleaning up the starts, turns and finishes so that we can reduce the number of DQ's at the next meet. .

A few housekeeping things;

1. Ribbons will be delivered to the pool every week after the meet. There will be a bin of envelopes with your swimmers' names on it. DO NOT take the envelope, just take the ribbons. 

2. The ordered ribbons for this year have not been delivered by the league yet. We were short on Blue ribbons so, if you won first place, you may have to wait an extra week for your ribbon. 

3. Usually, a personal best would get you a speeding ticket, which you want to save for the end-of-the-year party for prizes. However... this is the first meet so these times will be the times to beat for the next set of tickets. 

4. No meet on Memorial Day weekend or the weekend of June 3rd. Morning practice starts on Tuesday, May 30. Times are listed on the website. 

5. Next meet is actually a MONDAY meet on June 5th against the Sharks. It will be from about 3:30pm until about 8pm. Please plan accordingly with activities and work.
